Inspired by the "Golden Shroud" cocktail by speakeaieruk. Using a smooth Reposado or Anejo Tequila is key to this delicious drink. Then the floral, sweet, and tart notes, combined with the creamy top fill your senses with joy!

Golden Thyme Sour

  • 2 oz. Tequila (Reposado or Anejo)

  • 1/2 oz. Elderflower liqueur

  • 1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy

  • 3/4 oz. Lime juice

  • 1 barspoon Agave nectar

  • 1 Egg white

Golden Thyme Sour

Ingredients...

Method...

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin. Dry shake, then wet shake. Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and a lime wheel. An edible flower would be nice too.

A Scotty G Signature Cocktail

Optional: For my Golden Thyme Sour, I sometimes like to add about 5 pumps from a Mezcal Atomizer just to give it some smoke and heat! And it goes great with guacamole or salsa, and chips!

Hi, I'm Scott Gardner, your mindful mixologist. While I am not a professional bartender, I have made well over two hundred different and unique cocktails, and invented over fifteen original drinks, including my famous European Vacation, Muzetta's Waltz, and The Cherry Bella, all of which can be found in my book, Lock it, Flip it, Kick it & Shake!

Besides shaking, stirring, and sipping, I also enjoy golfing, reading, and writing. My wife and I both love animals and we have recently gotten into birding, which is a fun and rewarding hobby. And our favorite birds... The Philadelphia Eagles, of course! Go Birds!
